The Straits Times published the above headline today (Mar 6, 2009).
MINDEF was worry about sensitive information that the terrorists can take advantage on it.
Singapore is unlikely to face a large scale terror attacks like the Mumbai attacks where the infiltrators launched their attacks from speed boats, unless we're being attacked by terrorists from neighboring countries, which is highly unlikely unless we're on bad relationship with them.
Also, our 'terrorists' does not even possess rifles, machine guns and other small arms, let alone any Surface-to-Air Missile launcher yet, but that doesn't make they are not fully capable of doing it in the future.
A NSman blogger was suggesting a secure portal for NSmen to blog and exchange information.
This is a better alternative as we know that terrorists can make use of Google Map and even fly an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle over the army camps to capture sensitive images to them.
As I've always reiterated, there are security loopholes that can be exploited by terrorists and criminals.
Take my S$ million dollar challenge and let us make Singapore a safer and secure country, leading to peace and prosperity.
